Job Title: Physiotherapist

Workstation: C-Care IHK

Reporting to: Head of Physiotherapy

Requirements

  • A Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy
  • Registration and valid practicing license with Allied Health Uganda
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy facility

Job Purpose

We at C-Care IHK would like to recognize and reward staff for their hard work, commitment, and dedication and allow them a chance to develop their skills and competences through taking on another role that is more challenging and still productive.

The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that the key performance areas assigned in the role of a Physiotherapist are performed as expected and within the set timelines.

Specific job responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for a defined caseload of non-complex patients and to organize this efficiently regarding clinical priorities and use of time.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients using clinical reasoning to select appropriate assessment techniques and determine a clinical diagnosis of the patient’s needs.
  • Review and evaluate a patient’s condition to amend the treatment programme as necessary to achieve planned objectives.

Job Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Registered with Allied Health Uganda & holds current practicing license for physiotherapy.
  • Minimum 3-5 years   recent hospital, bedside care experience.
  • Excellent Communication skills with patients, their families and with other members of the general practice team.
  • Good interpersonal skills, and knowledge of practices, trends, and principles in nursing
  • ACLS + BLS training is an added advantage.

Professional Competences

Commitment to continuous quality improvement. Ability to cope with high and varied workload with the demonstration of appropriate task prioritization, time, and resource management. Demonstrate understanding of and sensitivity to complex patient/family, circumstances/ situations, and cultural issues that affect the delivery of health services.
