Job Description

Uganda Association of women Lawyers (FIDA-Uganda) is a membership-based feminist organization established in 1974 to promote and defend human rights with emphasis on women and children as beneficiaries across the country. FIDA-Uganda’s mission is to advance gender equality through the promotion of women’s and children’s rights and its priority areas include; to promote justice frameworks that are gender responsive; to enhance social justice economic empowerment and inclusion for women; to promote gender justice through strategic partnerships and to enhance the capacity of FIDA-Uganda as a center for legal excellence for women lawyers. It also advocates for policies and practices at the national, regional, and international levels that more effectively protect the rights of women. FIDA-Uganda operates nationwide with a Secretariat in Kampala and other satellite districts across the country. Therefore, FIDA wishes to recruit qualified persons to fill vacant positions and upcoming projects at the Secretariat and
other regional offices in the following positions:

Job Title: Transport Assistants/Drivers (7)
Location: Lwengo, Kabale, Gulu, Kamuli, Mbale, Kapchorwa, Arua
Reports to: Fleet Manager

Purpose:
The Transport Assistant is responsible for ensuring provision reliable and secure driving services to the
organization including provision of timely and safe driving services of staff and stakeholders following
traffic regulations; ensure proper motor vehicle maintenance including repairs and accurate records,
among others.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
 Education: O Level Certificate & Mechanical certificate.
 Experience: 3 Years Driving Experience.
 Certificates/Licenses: Class A, B, C and D Driver’s License.
 Certificate in defensive driving added
 Basic adminnistration skills will be an added advantage.
